Builds
Habitat for Humanity of Stokes County has been following local, state and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 safety. At the build sites, Habitat provides personal PPE and face coverings for all volunteers, which are optional when working outdoors. Volunteers will be asked to wear face coverings when working inside where social distancing is hard to achieve.

Volunteer
Habitat for Humanity of Stokes County offers a volunteer team building experience few other nonprofits can offer, while engaging life in such a deep and meaningful way. Volunteers can work on a Habitat build site. Your impact is widespread:

  • A Habitat home is a strong foundation to build a better life. More than 14 families have a place to call home in this community thanks to you. You make an impact.
  • Habitat homes are affordable because of the generous financial support from our donors and the dedicated volunteer labor, both offered in partnership with us for solutions in affordable homeownership. You are a difference maker.
  • The home you are building is so well built, less than one-third of the energy goes toward heating and cooling, saving homeowners $25,000 in electricity cost over the life of a 25-year mortgage. You do quality work to build quality homes.

On the date that you volunteer, you will need to complete this Volunteer Release Form to bring in with you. If you would like you can complete the form prior to volunteering and email to construction@stokeshabitat.com.  If you are under 18, completion of the last page of the Volunteer Release Form is also required.
